M’Liz Keefe learned to draw and paint at a young age while studying at the Art Students League in New York City. A graduate of The Cooper Union, her work has been exhibited in solo and group shows both in the US and Canada.
Originally from New Jersey, she spent years living and working in wilder more remote places, including the Great Plains in Nebraska and the high desert of the Rocky Mountains in Taos New Mexico.
In 2013 she was awarded a residency on Fogo Island in Newfoundland, where she settled for good in the house she built with her husband.
